Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is releasing "Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE" arcade machines which will allow players to create their own unique monster cards. The machines will be rolling out in arcades and shopping malls across Japan and will begin operating from the middle of March.

"Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE" is a card-based arcade game which combines the excitement of video games, in which players develop and battle their characters, with the fun of collecting sets of cards, as found in traditional card-collecting games.

Players can experience the joy of collecting and raising unique monsters to battle against the computer or other players. New cards will be printed out for monsters whose abilities have changed due to player development, as well as monsters newly created by combining other monsters, giving players their own original cards. These monster cards can be read by the game machine so that players can use their original monsters the next time they play.

Konami will continue to provide consumers with hitherto unknown enjoyment by continuing to offer innovative new arcade experiences.
