Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that four of its social games took the podium at the "GREE Platform Award 2011" to receive, among other awards, an induction to the Hall of Fame with Special Honors.

The GREE Platform Award gives recognition to only the best social applications featured on the GREE^*1 social networking service for smartphones and featurephones. Winners are determined by a comprehensive review of factors such as total number of coins spent,^*2 number of registered users, and frequency of use.

The entry into the Hall of Fame with Special Honors awarded to "DRAGON COLLECTION" comes as the third in a straight run of accolades that began with the Best Overall Application Award at the GREE Platform Award 2010 held in February 2011. This was followed by the game's addition to the Hall of Fame in the GREE Platform Awards for the First Half of 2011, held in August 2011. At the "Japan Game Awards: 2011" hosted by the COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT SUPPLIER'S ASSOCIATION (CESA), "DRAGON COLLECTION" also became the first ever social game to receive the Special Award in the Future Division.

Entry into the Hall of Fame was the second award for "Professional Baseball Dream Nine," following on from the Best Overall Application Award at the GREE Platform Awards for the First Half of 2011. The game has already drawn a vast number of users through its association with the real professional baseball pennant race, including events connected to the November 2011 championship fight to be the greatest team in Japan ? the KONAMI Nippon Series. The game will step up to the plate once again for 2012 starting March 21st, providing users with a unique professional baseball card game that incorporates up-to-the-minute player data.

Popular manga titles "CROWS" and "WORST" served as the basis for Best in RPG Award winner "CROWS × WORST ? Saikyou Densetsu," which enjoys top positions in the GREE game application rankings along with Japan Professional Football League-licensed Excellence Award winner "J.LEAGUE™ Dream Eleven." Both games have surpassed one million users.

Representing Konami at the awards ceremony^*3 was Corporate Officer Hideki Hayakawa, who took the stage to give thanks to all the nationwide fans who have supported the growth of these fantastic games plus the many people who worked to make them such successes. He also took the opportunity to speak of Konami’s ongoing ambitions to propel the social game industry ahead in even greater leaps and bounds.
