Helping Create and Manage the Voting Site for Player Selection in the Great East Japan Earthquake Charity Relief 2012 J.LEAGUE™ Special Match
Voting Starts on June 11th via Website and "J.LEAGUE™ Dream Eleven"

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is working with the Japan Professional Football League™ (hereafter J.LEAGUE ) to create and manage the website that fans can vote for the players who will participate in the Great East Japan Earthquake Charity Relief 2012 J.LEAGUE™ Special Match (hereafter, the J.LEAGUE Special Match).

The J.LEAGUE Special Match will be run by the Japan Football Association and the J.LEAGUE.The goal of the match is to use soccer to help Japan recover from the Great East Japan Earthquake. The match will see the J.LEAGUE TEAM AS ONE face off against the J.LEAGUE Senbatsu. The J.LEAGUE TEAM AS ONE team will be comprised of players from the Vegalta Sendai and Kashima Antlers teams, players from the Tohoku area, and foreign guest players. The members of the J.LEAGUE Senbatsu will be chosen from the remaining J1 teams by fan votes and a selection committee.

As a J.LEAGUE Top Partner, Konami has been supporting the growth of Japanese soccer since 1999. This time, Konami will draw on its vast experience in digital content creation to help support this event.

Voting will take place from Monday, June 11th to Friday, June 29th. Votes can be cast from PCs, smartphones, or feature phones. Votes can also be cast from the KONAMI Social media content, "J.LEAGUE™ Dream Eleven,"* and a special in-game event is scheduled to take place in conjunction with the J.LEAGUE Special Match.

Konami will continue to support the further growth and development of soccer with the J.LEAGUE Special Match, and will also be pouring its energy and excitement into the match along with fans, players, and all soccer supporters across the board.

*"J.LEAGUE™ Dream Eleven" is expected to be reborn as "World Soccer Collection" in the near future. The transition may occur during the voting period.

3. Voting Guidelines
- Only players registered in J.League Division 1 during the above period can be voted for.
- Up to 11 players can be voted for in a single vote.
A vote of 11 players must include 1 goalkeeper and 10 field players.
There are no restrictions on formations or numbers of overseas players.
4. How Players Will Be Chosen
Players who received the most votes (1 goalkeeper, plus 3 defenders, 3 midfielders and 3 forwards) will join the 1 player who received the most votes overall among the defender/midfielder/forward positions to form a team of 11 "Supporter’s Choice Players." These will be sorted into the 2 teams below. Other players will be chosen as "J.League Recommended Players" by a J.League Special Match player selection committee, using the supporter voting results as a reference.

Selection conditions ・No restrictions on players from the same club

・Maximum 3 players from the same club If 4 or more players from the same club appear in the "Supporter’s Choice Players," the following methods will be used to select players to promote from other clubs.
1) Highest 3 players in voting ranks (by position) will be selected.
2) If the voting ranks are the same, players with the most actual votes will be selected.
・At least one player will appear from each J1 club
・No restrictions on number of overseas players
・Players representing Japan in the 30th Olympic Games (2012, London) are not eligible for selection

5. Vote Count Announcements
- As a rule, the current vote totals will be revealed once a week on the J.LEAGUE official site.
- The most recent voting ranks are expected to be updated and revealed daily on the dedicated fan voting site.
- The list of participating players is scheduled to be announced in early July.
