Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the release of a new application for iPhone and iPod touch on Wednesday, July 4^th, designed for connectivity with arcade card game machine "Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE."

The application, "ORECA BATTLE," is a card battle game in which users collect and cultivate a range of monsters, each one bursting with individuality, while aiming for victory against challenging CPU opponents. Users can store their very own one-of-a-kind cards in the application by developing their monsters to gain new abilities, or fusing them together.

The dedicated code displayed on the smartphone's screen can then be scanned into the "Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE" machine, and the user's carefully-trained smartphone monsters will appear in the game. There has been a recent upswing in the number of parents visiting arcades along with their children, and this application allows parents to work together with their kids who play the same game, sending their smartphone-trained monsters into the fray and using teamwork to take down powerful monster opponents.

"Monster Retsuden ORECA BATTLE" is an arcade card game machine that combines the character-raising and battling fun of a video game with the card game enjoyment of collecting a diverse range of spectacular cards.
