Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to work in cooperation with GREE, Inc. to provide social media content "DRAGON COLLECTION" as a pre-installed application on the new Android smartphone "ARROWS A SoftBank 101F" that is due for release by Fujitsu Mobile Communications Limited on July 28th. This special release is intended to bring the enjoyment of "DRAGON COLLECTION" to a whole new group of users.
This event does not end with the pre-installation alone ? Konami and GREE will also provide each and every purchaser with a special limited-edition in-game card as part of the "FUJITSU×GREE×KONAMI Buy the ARROWS A SoftBank 101F and Get a DRAGON COLLECTION Limited-Edition Card! Campaign."
"DRAGON COLLECTION" is social media content that sees players embarking on a fantastical journey in pursuit of the legendary Dragon Cards as they have adventures and battle rival players, all while collecting Monster Cards and treasure. The game is a mix of multiple gameplay elements including collection of the expansive lineup of 1800+ Monster Cards, training of cards, and the particularly social element of cooperating with friends to take down powerful enemies. All these combine to form social media content that has attracted widespread praise and over 6.5 million registered users.
"DRAGON COLLECTION" has expanded into numerous other fields as well, from collaborative campaigns with convenience stores and soft drink manufacturers, to being published as a major series in Weekly Sh?nen Magazine. The game was entered into the GREE Hall of Fame (with Special Honors) at the "GREE Platform Award 2011," and received the first "Special Award" ever given to social media content by the COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT SUPPLIER'S ASSOCIATION (CESA) in the "Japan Game Awards: 2011- Future Division."
