KONAMI has announced that it is co-sponsoring the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association (JPBPA) Let's Play Catch Project. This year KONAMI will be taking its KONAMI Play Ball! series on the road under the banner "Let's Play Catch." KONAMI Play Ball! will lead off with a visit to the Musashi Kyuryo national park in Saitama on September 22nd. Then it will hit the road again with stops at Tokyo's Metropolitan Komazawa Olympic Park in October and the Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park in November. KONAMI Play Ball! will also be a special feature at JPBPA fan events beginning this December.

KONAMI has been working with the JPBPA to support children's sports programs since 2005. It is the proud co-sponsor of JPBPA program that brings former pro ball players to different elementary schools around Japan where they conduct one-day baseball camps.

By combining its KONAMI Play Ball! series with the Let's Play Catch Project started by the JPBPA in 2006, KONAMI hopes its baseball camp program will provide even more kids with opportunities to experience the fun of playing baseball.

KONAMI Play Ball! is designed to give every grade school kid a chance to get hands-on lessons in basic baseball techniques from former professional baseball players. Using specially designed soft baseballs and bats, even those who have never played baseball before are able to get in the activity.

KONAMI fully supports the JPBPA's efforts to cultivate a growing interest in baseball that will enable the sport to thrive far into the future.
