Team Up to Promote Soccer Products
A TV commercial utilizing "Winning Eleven" CG technology and organizing an online game tournament

KONAMI & PUMA have partnered to present the "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2010" soccer game and "POWERCAT J" soccer spikes.

The two companies, which handle the diverse products of video game software and sports gear, have collaborated to give an even greater number of customers an opportunity to enjoy soccer in different ways through soccer-related products.

(1) KONAMI created new footage using Winning Eleven computer graphics (CG) technology to be utilized in a TV commercial (CF) for PUMA's latest soccer spikes, "POWERCAT J". The commercial, scheduled to be televised from December 26th (excluding some areas), features Winning Eleven CG in a dream sequence showing soccer player Makoto Hasebe leaping and bounding across a soccer field.
 
(2) KONAMI will host an online game tournament using "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2010" (PlayStation®3, Xbox360®) bearing the PUMA trademark. PUMA plans to offer its soccer gear for tournament prizes.

Winning Eleven

The Winning Eleven soccer game was launched in 1995 and has since become one of KONAMI's most popular game products. The series has sold over 56 million units worldwide (as of September 2009). The latest installment, "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2010", features significantly enhanced motion and graphics for an even more realistic soccer experience and is based on characters modeled after Lionel Messi (Barcelona/Argentine national team) and Fernando Torres (Liverpool/Spanish national team). PlayStation®3 and Xbox360® versions were released on November 5th, and Wii, PlayStation®2, and PSP®(PlayStation®Portable) versions were released on December 10th.
