"HYPER SPORTS WINTER"
to be released on iPhone/iPod touch

KONAMI will launch its winter sports game "HYPER SPORTS WINTER" for the iPhone and iPod touch on Friday, February 12. The game will be released simultaneously in North America and Europe^* as well.

"HYPER SPORTS WINTER" allows players to enjoy five sports (ski jump, speed skating, half-pipe, figure skating and bobsledding) and compete for new record times, distances, etc.

Special controls that utilize the characteristics of each sport have been incorporated to make the customer feel as if they are actually playing the sport. For example, for speed skating, the action of kicking with the left and right foot to slide on the ice is produced by alternately sliding the fingers across the screen in an inverted "V" pattern.

Other controls include touching the screen with the finger and tilting the device, so even beginners can enjoy the game without difficulty.

KONAMI will continue to produce contents that take advantage of the various platforms and deliver new excitement to its customers.

Overview of Game

Ski Jump
	On the slope, press and hold your finger against the screen to accelerate, and release it at just the right time to jump off the ramp. Tilt the device to the left and right in mid-air to maintain your balance and make a clean landing.
Speed Skating
	Slide your fingers across the screen alternately in an inverted "V" pattern (the direction of the arrows).
Half-pipe
	Touch and hold the screen to accelerate within the pipe. Release at just the right time to jump off the pipe. Trace the arrow while in the air to make turns.
Figure Skating
	Tilt the device in the direction of the arrow to move up, down, left and right. Press the button at just the right timing to spin when the jump arrow appears on the screen.
Bobsledding
	Slide your finger in the direction of the arrow to make the running start. After taking off, tilt the device to the left or right according to the course to maintain balance and accelerate.
