KONAMI's two mobile apps for the iPhone/iPod touch in the North American and European regions -- WireWay and Krazy Kart Racing -- won awards at the 6th annual International Mobile Gaming Awards (hereafter, IMGA) [held in Spain].
WireWay won the Best Casual Award, while Krazy Kart Racing received the Operator's Choice Award.
WireWay is an action game in which users operate a touch panel with their fingers, pulling wires on the screen to launch the character as they try to reach the goal. Konami's local US affiliate sells the game. Krazy Kart Racing is a racing game that users play by maneuvering the device itself like a handle. It is sold by Konami's local European affiliate.
The IMGA is an awards ceremony designed to recognize very inspiring and innovative mobile entertainment around the world. This year's competition drew more than 150 entries from 26 countries.
KONAMI will continue actively producing and marketing content designed to meet the needs of overseas markets, thereby delivering to customers around the world a new form of play.
