Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.
KONAMI will release the latest title in its communication game “LOVEPLUS,” titled “LOVEPLUS + (LOVEPLUSPLUS),” in the summer of 2010.
LOVEPLUS differs from traditional love games in that it is linked to the real-time calendar and clock, so players can enjoy dating life in real time. Also, the heroines’ personalities, clothing styles, and hairstyles change to fit the players’ tastes. Those features bring love in the virtual world closer to love in real life, which is creating a huge sensation among TV, magazines, and many other media outlets and whipping up a veritable “LOVEPLUS” storm.

In the newest title, “LOVEPLUS +,” players can enjoy aspects of everyday life such as going to school with the high school girl characters in the game and spending time with them there, just as in “LOVEPLUS.” In addition, some out-of-the-ordinary elements such as travel have been added, making it possible to have more realistic experiences and boosting the fun of communicating with the characters.
Other enhancements are planned, such as the addition of new scenarios and reinforcements on the system front, as well as the incorporation of new ways of play using communication functions.
Also, the addition of vast numbers of new clothing styles, hairstyles, and hair colors creates greater variety in the characters’ appearance and further enhances the appeal of the girls in the game.
In addition, the new game can carry over data saved from “LOVEPLUS,” letting players of “LOVEPLUS+” keep and continue playing with the memories they made with characters in “LOVEPLUS” as well.
KONAMI is moving forward with multifaceted projects involving “LOVEPLUS.” Some of the various roll-outs in the works include creating a manga version; putting it into a mini-game for “The ☆ BishiBashi,” a KONAMI game machine for amusement facilities; and the sale of figurines and other related products.
“LOVEPLUS”
