KONAMI has released METAL GEAR SOLID PEACE WALKER (hereafter: MGS PW), the latest title in the METAL GEAR series^*1, in Japan, Asia, and the Americas, followed by Europe^*2.

Each stop of the commemorative “METAL GEAR SOLID PEACE WALKER WORLD TOUR 2010^*3,” held in accordance with the respective launch for each region, attracted multitudes of excited fans who eagerly awaited the release of the game. Their numbers were so great that the venues could not contain all the attendees. Series director, Hideo Kojima^*4, and Art Director, Yoji Shinkawa, both participated in the World Tour and shared their sentiments regarding “MGS PW” and interacted with the fans.

Moreover, the cooperative gameplay of “MGS PW,” involving communication between “stealth buddies” as they carry out missions, as well as the newly created gameplay element, in which players build up their own army and base, are receiving positive reviews from each of the regions.

KONAMI will continue to further the evolution of the “METAL GEAR” series to provide people around the world with a video game experience like none other.
