KONAMI is set to release “GI-Turf TV,” a horse racing medallion game that can be played as a national online competition. This game will begin appearing in amusement arcades from September.

Through a process of developing and training racehorses, players are able to raise their very own horses. They can then enter them in races and experience the thrill of being a racehorse owner as they aim to collect the most medallions.
The game features an extra large-screen monitor comprised of 3 wide monitors so that players can enjoy the impressive race scenes as if the racehorses were passing right in front of their eyes.
By continuously pressing the “action button,” players can cheer on their entered horse or can cheer on horses entered by other players in the same store. Being able to cheer on entered horses from the same store creates a sense of unity between customers.
Additionally, players can create avatars of themselves and register other players who they are interested in as “friends” and “rivals.” Players can also enjoy the game while communicating with one another. For example, when players cheer on a horse entered by a “friend” and that horse wins the race, the player can acquire an item that is helpful for training horses.
KONAMI provides customers with the thrill that can only be experienced at amusement arcades by continuing to create more enjoyable medallion game machines.
