Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.
KONAMI announces the implementation of “e-AMUSEMENT Participation,” a new business model for game units at amusement facilities.
“e-AMUSEMENT Participation” is a new business model that continuously provides new content based on user demand and enables operator and KONAMI to share the revenue of game device usage with operation.
In this business model game usage rates can be improved by continually providing new content which is attractive to users such as addition of new game modes and items for characters, and holding of in-game events through online updates and other methods even after games have started operating, all of which is expected to provide game operators with more stable revenue from the game units.
In addition, operators are able to reduce initial investment costs as a result of purchasing the equipment and materials, required for the game devices, at a low cost.
This business model will be implemented starting from “MAH-JONG FIGHT CLUB ultimate version”, which is scheduled to enter operation from mid-November, and the lineup of compatible models will be continually expanded moving forward.
KONAMI strives to contribute to the further growth of the amusement industry by continuing to offer a new business model, various contents and services that fulfill customer needs.
