Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.

KONAMI will simultaneously release two "LOVEPLUS" arcade games, the first ever in the series. The two games, "LOVEPLUS MEDAL Happy Daily Life" (LOVEPLUS MEDAL), a medal game, and "LOVEPLUS Arcade ColorfulClip" (LOVEPLUS Arcade), a video game, will start operating on a rolling basis at video arcades throughout Japan in late February.

The "LOVEPLUS" franchise has already been expanded across a number of platforms and product categories, including handheld game consoles, smartphones, CDs, figurines, and manga, but this latest move into video arcades will offer customers new ways to enjoy the series.

"LOVEPLUS MEDAL Happy Daily Life" Medal Game
"LOVEPLUS MEDAL" showcases a blend of puzzle and board game elements. Choose the correct arrow panel and navigate your character through the overhead map as you rack up medals. A 3D image of a "LOVEPLUS" girl will appear in the upper monitor to keep you company. Directly touching the 3D character elicits a plethora of reactions, allowing players to enjoy a fresh scope of interaction like never before. The game is also packed with features such as "Date Mode" and "Jackpot Slot," in which you can collect various character illustrations.

"LOVEPLUS MEDAL" will also interoperate with other KONAMI medal games*1 at the video arcade where it is found. A "LOVEPLUS" girl will appear on the play screen of compatible machines, letting players converse with their "girlfriend" while waiting to hit the jackpot?a true two-person experience*2.

"LOVEPLUS Arcade ColorfulClip" Video Game
"LOVEPLUS Arcade" offers a variety of minigames that play out like a virtual date with a "LOVEPLUS" girl. Minigames include such as "Suikawari" by the pool and "Daruma-san ga Koronda" at the park. In addition, players can snap pictures of their "LOVEPLUS" girlfriend as if they were actually out on a date together. The machine also includes a printer that lets players take home a beautiful photo card in commemoration of the special day.

Players will now be allowed to continue some of their dates with their "LOVEPLUS" girlfriend in both games.

Plans call for both games to be exhibited at the AOU 2011 Amusement Expo.

KONAMI will continue promoting the "LOVEPLUS" franchise across multiple platforms and product categories in an effort to deliver the unique fun the series offers to an even greater number of customers.
