KONAMI is proud to announce players will soon be enjoying unprecedented freedom to transcend platform boundaries, accomplished via a feature allowing save game interoperability between the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation®Portable?"Transfarring." The first title among a slew of scheduled releases to spearhead this bold step forward is "METAL GEAR SOLID PEACE WALKER (hereinafter 'MGS PW') HD EDITION" (PlayStation®3).
By sharing save data between gaming devices, players will be able to enjoy titles on their home console and pick up right where they left off on their hand-held later on. Play a bit on your morning or evening commute and save the climactic setpiece moments for the big-screen at home; where you play, when you play?the choice is now truly yours.
"MGS: PW HD EDITION" is the HD version of the acclaimed PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) title, "MGS: PW," released in 2010. The visual aspect has taken giant, resplendent leaps forward with updated graphical and textual interface elements to suit full-HD screens?no emulator* used. Audio has also been adjusted to improve sound quality, further enhancing realism. Not stopping there, the title takes full advantage of home console controllers?implementing support for the right analog stick to augment depth and responsiveness, as well as supporting the force feedback function for added immersion.
Furthermore, to ensure players will immediately be able to enjoy the new “Transfarring” feature, "MGS PW HD EDITION" for the PS3® will include a free download code for the PSP® version, "MGS PW."
KONAMI aims to firmly establish this new type of gameplay through the release of more titles implementing the revolutionary feature. Now enjoyable both in and outside your own home?the future of gaming has arrived.
