Breaks World Record with 25.1 Billion Cards Sold
New Series Available Worldwide

KONAMI is proud to announce that total sales of its Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game have exceeded 25.1 billion cards*. The popular card game has been officially recognized as the best-selling trading card game in the world by Guinness World Records, breaking its own world record.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Game is a strategic card game based on both the manga "Yu-Gi-Oh!" (by Kazuki Takahashi), serialized in Shueisha Inc.'s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1996, and the subsequent "Yu-Gi-Oh!" anime series (currently airing on TV Tokyo-affiliated channels). The card game has been on the market since 1999, and is currently sold worldwide?mainly in Japan, North America, and Europe.

The new anime series, "Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL," began airing in Japan this year. In addition to the "Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL OFFICIAL CARD GAME" released by KONAMI in March, new installments of the "Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME" are scheduled to be released worldwide to deliver the joy of the acclaimed series to an even greater number of customers.

The franchise features not only card games, but also a wide variety of content including video games and online games that are enjoyed by customers around the globe. KONAMI has been uniting fans from all over the world by hosting card and video game World Championship tournaments every year since 2003.
