KONAMI released the popular social game "DRAGON COLLECTION" for Android handsets Tuesday, June 14th. The title is set to be released for iPhone and other iOS devices this summer. KONAMI strives to further expand its social gaming business by providing social games for smartphones?a market whose number of users is expected to grow even larger in the future.

KONAMI has a diverse lineup of social games for feature phones such as the Nippon Professional Baseball sanctioned "Professional Baseball Dream Nine," the female-targeted social game "Mori no Kuma House," and "SENGOKU COLLECTION," a game based on the Warring States Period of Japan. Yet, the most popular of these is "DRAGON COLLECTION," a game in which players can enjoy collecting and training hundreds of different cards as well as battling rival players. The title has maintained incredible popularity and has remained the top ranking GREE title for 34 consecutive weeks and counting.*

The smartphone version of "DRAGON COLLECTION" will feature intuitive touchscreen controls that enable easy gameplay for all users. In addition to being able to interact with fellow smartphone users, players will be able to fight against or cooperate with those using the feature phone version as well, allowing players to transcend platform boundaries and enjoy the networking aspects that are unique to social games.

The data for "DRAGON COLLECTION" can be transferred between feature phones and smartphones. Therefore, current players can continue to enjoy the game even if they decide to trade in their old handset.
