METAL GEAR SOLID HD EDITION Released on November 23rd

KONAMI released "METAL GEAR SOLID HD EDITION" (hereinafter "MGS HD") in Japan on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011.
"MGS HD" consists of HD remastered versions of the PlayStation®2 titles "METAL GEAR SOLID 2: SONS OF LIBERTY" (hereinafter "MGS2") and "METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SNAKE EATER" (hereinafter "MGS3"). The titles have been optimized for the PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360®, and feature enhanced realism as a result of beautiful, updated graphics to suit full HD screens, a frame rate*1 boost for smoother animation, and improved audio?promising an even more immersive experience of the METAL GEAR series world.

Both "MGS2" (released in 2001), which holds the record for the highest-selling stealth game on the PlayStation®2 as recognized by Guinness World Records™, and "MGS3" (released in 2004), which illuminates the origins of the entire METAL GEAR series, have enjoyed phenomenally high acclaim both in Japan and across the globe.
"MGS HD" also includes "Metal Gear" and "METAL GEAR 2: SOLID SNAKE," the first and second installments of the series, respectively. Those who purchase the PlayStation®3 version will also receive a download code*2 for "METAL GEAR SOLID"?for a total of 5 games in 1 package*3.
In addition, the "METAL GEAR SOLID HD EDITION PREMIUM PACKAGE," a bundle that includes bonuses such as a booklet featuring series concept art and an original soundtrack CD, will be available in limited quantities.
KONAMI hopes to spread the appeal of the METAL GEAR series to an even wider audience with this release of "MGS HD" and provide a chance for the younger generation of gamers who have never played past titles of the series to experience the excitement of the METAL GEAR world.
