KONAMI is proud to announce the release of the newest installments in the PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU series. "Pawapuro-kun Pocket 14" for the Nintendo DS™ hit shelves December 1st, with "JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU 2011 KETTEIBAN" for the PlayStation®3 and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) seeing a December 22nd release.
Both titles have been officially licensed by Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and enable players to relive heated games from the 2011 season.
"Pawapuro-kun Pocket 14" is a baseball game packed with a jaw-dropping variety of modes and features, including traditional baseball matches, various mini-games, and a story-centric mode where you develop your character. This installment features a story arc titled "Moero! Makyu League," in which the main character uses a super-fast breaking ball to face off with rivals wielding fire and light techniques?in a journey to become the league's strongest team.
In addition to including the latest player data from the 2011 pennant race, "JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU 2011 KETTEIBAN" features a new mode based on the Warring States Period of Japan, in which you become and develop such historical characters as Shingen Takeda and Kenshin Uesugi in a quest to conquer the country through baseball matches.
A campaign will be launched for both titles in commemoration of the KONAMI Nippon Series 2011. The first 10,000 applicants will receive limited edition PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU merchandise. Some lucky applicants, decided by drawing, will also win KONAMI Nippon Series 2011 paraphernalia signed by professional baseball players.
KONAMI will continue to produce fun, innovative baseball content, and actively support the baseball at every possible opportunity.
