KONAMI released "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2012," the latest installment of the Winning Eleven series, for the Nintendo 3DS™ on December 8th in Japan.
In addition to traditional controls, "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2012" features a "touch control scheme" utilizing the stylus and Touch Screen?simply draw your desired ball trajectory to see your dribbles and passes realized on the in-game field. Also featured are new modes like "Online Battle" mode, making distance inconsequential as players face off over the Internet; "Become a Legend" mode, which allows you to experience soccer from the standpoint of a professional player; and "World Player" mode, putting you in the shoes of an actual soccer player to take the current season head on.
Winning Eleven is a series of soccer games that has continued to evolve since the release of its first installment in 1995. The series has amassed lifetime sales of over 72.7 million units* worldwide, and maintains popularity not only in Japan, but Europe, the Americas, Asia, and all other areas of the globe as well. "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2012" has also been released for the PlayStation®3, PlayStation®2, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable), and Wii™.
