Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that its online trivia arcade game, "QUIZ MAGIC ACADEMY: Kenja no Tobira," has been awarded a Guinness World Records™ certificate*1 for the most questions in a trivia game, with a total of 197,429 questions.

Initially launched in March 2012, "QUIZ MAGIC ACADEMY: Kenja no Tobira" is a competitive trivia game that features questions from a variety of topics, including academics, economics, sports, entertainment, and even animation. The trivia arcade machines are updated via the online e-AMUSEMENT*2 arcade game service, adding new questions based on current events and other latest information from around the world. There is a rich variety of different trivia modes, including a national tournament mode in which up to 16 players can compete together. Other modes include proficiency exams, testing your knowledge in a vast array of fields as you aim for the high score in addition to many more.

The QUIZ MAGIC ACADEMY series is among the first franchises in the arcade industry to realize online competition. The first installment in the series, released in 2003, allowed fans to compete in heated online trivia matches in real time, and the highly acclaimed IP has since then expanded to include home console and mobile phone versions, an animated series, and a wide range of other fun content. In October 2012, a smartphone app version*3 of the game was released, featuring interoperability with its arcade counterpart.

Konami will continue to deliver the fun and excitement of trivia games to its ever-growing fan base.
