Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2014: Aoki Samurai no Chousen" (below, "Aoki Samurai"), the latest title in the highly popular Winning Eleven series (over 86.2 million copies*1 sold worldwide), is set for release on Thursday, May 22.

"Aoki Samurai" takes all of the content included in last year's installment in the series, "WORLD SOCCER Winning Eleven 2014," and adds the new modes "Japan Challenge" and "J.LEAGUE"*2 to form a spectacularly diverse package that is sure to make soccer fans' dreams come true. Users will now be capable of selecting their own unique Japan national soccer team from among all the players of the 40 clubs in the J1 and J2 leagues (2014 season) as well as all Japanese players playing for foreign clubs. This is the chance for users to create their true Japanese dream team (My JAPAN) and take on the world.*1

In addition, this new title features a number of Japanese pro players (including KONAMI soccer game ambassador Keisuke Honda) who have been faithfully rendered in 3D*3 using the latest in graphics technology. Matches played out by these true-to-life players are sure to dazzle users with their unprecedented sense of realistic tension.

As soccer fever reaches its peak this year, KONAMI hopes that "Aoki Samurai" will guide more people to experience the thrills of soccer, and as a supporting company of the Japan national soccer team and J.LEAGUE top partner, we will continue to support the growth and development of the sport.
