New Season Arrives for Mobile Game

Large-Scale Update and New TV Commercial to Coincide with Start of Pro Baseball Season

March 24, 2016

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd.

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. will implement a large-scale update for mobile game "PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS A (Ace)" to coincide with the start of the 2016 professional baseball season on Friday, March 25th. An accompanying TV commercial will also be aired.

"PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS A (Ace)" features deep immersion and stunning graphics that set it apart from the average mobile game. It offers satisfying baseball action with casual controls, and a robust player training system, which combine to form an ideal baseball game for serious fans of the sport. 3D scan technology is used to construct the in-game player-models based on 360-degree photographic scans of real-life professional baseball players, a technique which has been highly praised by fans.

Following on from the "Samurai Japan" event that was well received by users at the end of February, this latest large-scale update features the long-awaited update of all player data to match the start of the 2016 season. KONAMI will continue to implement a range of new additions to get users excited for the 2016 season, such as a new event in which the user takes control of the team as coach, and new stadium and night game sequences.

In addition, the new "PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS A (Ace)" TV commercial will begin airing nationwide today, in 12 different versions (one for each of the 12 professional baseball teams), each featuring TV announcer/talent Maki Okazoe.

KONAMI will continue to develop and distribute "PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL SPIRITS A (Ace)," to deliver the fun and excitement of KONAMI content to an ever-increasing customer base.
